Zahlen zum Biermarkt: Die größten Brauereien der Welt

Ein großer Teil der globalen Biernachfrage wird von wenigen Konzernen bedient. 2012 stammte fast die Hälfte (48,2 Prozent) der weltweiten Produktion von lediglich fünf Brauereigruppen. Das geht aus dem aktuellen "Barth-Bericht" hervor, den die in Nürnberg ansässige Barth-Haas Group, Weltmarktführer im Hopfenhandel, im Juli veröffentlicht hat.

Unangefochtener Marktführer ist Anheuser-Busch InBev mit Sitz in Belgien. 2012 hat der Braugigant 352,9 Millionen Hektoliter Bier hergestellt. Das bedeutet einen Anteil von 18,1 Prozent an der globalen Produktion. Dahinter folgt SAB Miller (Großbritannien) mit einem Ausstoß von 190 Millionen Hektoliter und einem Weltmarktanteil von 9,7 Prozent. Platz drei belegt die niederländische Heineken-Gruppe (Produktion 2012: 171,7 Millionen Hektoliter, Weltmarktanteil: 8,8 Prozent). Die größte Brauerei in Deutschland, die Radeberger Gruppe, liegt auf Platz 20.
